Christopher Landon’s ‘Drop’ Leads Overlook Film Festival’s 2025 First Wave Lineup
Christopher Landon's thriller "Drop" has been selected as the opening night film for the 2025 Overlook Film Festival, running from April 3-6.
“For all wayward souls and monster kids who gravitate to the macabre, we have something to satisfy your ghoulish cravings thanks to the brilliance of our artists, the passion of our tireless team, our incredible partners and this beautiful haunted city.” Overlook’s inaugural guest curator, Flying Lotus, will program an additional section dedicated to retro films, including David Lynch’s “Lost Highway,” Neil Marshall’s “The Descent” and Robert Zemeckis’ “Death Becomes Her.” Lotus will also present a special screening of his new film, “Ash,” starring Aaron Paul and Eiza González. The Overlook line-up is chosen by co-founders Zakheim and Michael Lerman, programming manager Daniel Crooke, short film programmer Katie Rife and festival director Sheryl Santacruz.
