Christmas-loving Brits hit with 11pm legal warning over festive lights, decorations and parties


We all love to get decorating for Christmas, but your sparkling lights and festive parties could land you in bother you are not careful, warn legal experts.

HCB Solicitors has advised that certain decorations and festivities could result in fines of up to £10,150 or even legal action if they break environmental laws reports Wales Online. If your lights are causing issues for your neighbours you may be served with legal notice, and if you don't pay heed to that and moderate your displays then you can be fined up to £5,000. Leaving any items behind, such as decorations or leftover food which are not disposed of in the proper way, could land you a waste fine of £150 (although you will save yourself £75 if paid within seven days.
