Christine McGuinness 'couldn't face leaving home' at height of Paddy's Take Me Out fame

Christine McGuinness has revealed that she struggled to 'cope' after her ex-husband Paddy McGuinness landed his hosting role in the hit dating show 'Take Me Out', back in 2010

In her tell-all book 'Christine McGuinness: A Beautiful Nightmare', released in 2021, she shared that although she was initially thrilled for Paddy's transition from comedian to prime-time TV star, she found herself becoming more withdrawn and spending much of her time alone. The stunning Liverpool-born model confessed to feeling increasingly isolated as Paddy's new show took off, hinting at a battle with depression during those early days. The former 'Real Housewives of Cheshire' star made a cheeky comment about being more envious of the female contestants on the show getting glammed up, adding: "I was probably more jealous of the girls getting to dress up and have their hair and make-up done.
