Christina Applegate said she’s been playing ‘a character named Christina’ for 40 years and is finally ready to introduce the world to her true self

Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty ImagesThe actress, 52, has a new podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler called “MeSsy,” in which both women get candid about living with multiple sclerosis. “I’ve been playing a character called Christina for 40 years, who I wanted everybody to think I was because it’s easier,” Applegate told Robin Roberts during a Wednesday, March 13, appearance on Good Morning America. Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2021, but it remains a classic entry in the “accidentally killing an old lady” genre.
