Chris Young Arrested, Charged With Assault, Resisting Arrest at Nashville Bar

The country singer faces three misdemeanor charges.

According to local NBC affiliate WSMV and The Tennesean, who both obtained the arrest affidavit, Young, 38, was at downtown Nashville bar Tin Roof around 8:30 p.m. as Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents were making compliance checks. The outlets report that according to the affidavit, Young put his hand out and attempted to stop the officers from leaving when they finished, struck one of the agents in the shoulder, and was yelling and screaming. Young was booked shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, and was released in the early morning hours of Tuesday, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
