The 44-year-old movie star plays a detective struggling to show that he is not guilty of a violent crime he is accused of committing - in a futuristic city with a skyrocketing murder rate.
Chris Pratt chased down and detained a bloodied man on the beach in a blood-pumping scene he filmed for his sci-fi movie Mercy in Malibu on Wednesday The movie is directed by the Russo-Kazakh filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, who rose to fame in Russia but in recent years has worked largely in the west. With a cast that includes Rafi Gavron, Kenneth Choi, Chris Sullivan, Kylie Rogers and Jamie McBride, Mercy is slated for release on August 15, 2025.
