Chris Pine reveals being cast in Princess Diaries 2 changed his life as he promotes his directorial debut Poolman: 'It was absolutely earth-shattering'


Chris Pine has opened up about  the movie that changed his life. The actor, 43, who made his directorial debut in Poolman, looked back at his big break.

'I was driving on the freeway and I was in my 1972 BMW that I'd had since I was 16, no air conditioning, it was the height of summer... and I was on my little Verizon tiny flip phone, my silver one, and I got a call from my agents that I booked the job,' he explained about being cast in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.
