Chris McCausland details the moment he went blind 20 years ago - as he joins the Strictly Come Dancing lineup


His participation was first revealed on This Morning on August 5, and Chris will be Strictly's first ever blind contestant.

Speaking on the Channel 4 show Scared Of The Dark, Chris was asked by Chloe Burrows, 27, if it hurt when he started to lose his sight which then prompted the conversation. Chris has been a comedian for over two decades and is a regular face on flagship comedy shows like Have I Got News for You, Would I Lie to You?, QI, The Last Leg, and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Chris was the first celebrity to be confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing on Monday, joining stars including Sayne Ward, Tasha Ghouri, Pete Wicks and Toyah Willcox.
