Chris Martin fires back at American TV chat show host after she asks about his retirement plans - and reveals how his kids helped with Coldplay's new album


The 47-year-old frontman appeared on the programme with the band to promote their new album Moon Music and perform some of their hits live on air from New York City on Tuesday.

Chris Martin playfully fired back at host Hoda Kotb when she quizzed him about Coldplay 's retirement during NBC's The Today Show on Tuesday Later in the show, Chris opened up about the sweet role his children Apple, 20, and Moses, 18, who he shares with his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, played in the creation of Coldplay's new album. The Today Show host Carson Daly asked Chris: 'Seeing Apple and Moses have a credit on Feels Like and All My Love is the coolest thing to see that they're a part of your creative process now, what is that like for you as a dad?'
