Chris Brown Ordered to Remain in Custody on Nightclub Attack Charges

Chris Brown was ordered to remain in custody on charges related to an alleged nightclub attack in February 2023, a London judge ruled.

Chris Brown was ordered to remain in custody on the “extremely serious” charges related to an alleged nightclub attack in February 2023, a London judge ruled at a bail hearing Friday. On Thursday morning, Brown was arrested in Manchester, England on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm in connection to the incident where the singer allegedly beat a music producer Amadou “Abe” Diaw with a tequila bottle and then stomped on him, resulting in a hospitalization and, later, a $16 million lawsuit related to the attack. In October 2023, Diaw filed a $16 million lawsuit against Brown, accusing the singer of “beating him over the head” with a tequila bottle and “ruthlessly” stomping on him when they were both at a London nightclub the previous February.
