Crypto heist pic 'Dutch & Razzlekhan' starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Lewis Pullman, and Ariana DeBose will shoot this summer, Deadline can reveal.
After stealing over $4 billion worth of cryptocurrency, the millennial couple was caught by the Department of Justice and charged with conspiracy to launder the stolen bitcoin in February 2022. As with the story of Sam Bankman-Fried, the entrepreneur behind the now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, who was convicted of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering in November 2023, the tale of Dutch & Razzlekhan is one that has drawn plenty of interest in Hollywood, leading to the development of a number of starry projects. Most recently tapped to direct eOne’s Everything’s Going to Be Great starring Bryan Cranston, Allison Janney and more, Baird prior to that helmed the Taron Egerton starrer Tetris for Apple TV+ and Laurel and Hardy pic Stan & Ollie, along with episodes of shows like I’m Dying Up Here and Vinyl.
