CMC Pictures’ crowd-pleasing biopic “ The Dumpling Queen ” maintained its strong grip on the top spot at the China box office for the third consecutive weekend. Starring Ma Li and directed by Andrew Lau, the film tells the real-life story of Zang Jianhe from Qingdao who builds a dumpling empire in Hong Kong after being stranded there in the late 1970s. Box office titan “ Ne Zha 2 ” continued its marathon run, collecting $1.5 million in its 16th weekend.
