Children In Need host Lenny Rush's life off screen - medical condition to rant at vile trolls

Lenny Rush, 15, has become a breakout TV star, bagging himself a role on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and hosting Children In Need- but what do we know about the teen?

From his early days on CBeebies in shows like Apple Tree House and The Dumping Ground, Lenny made TV history last year as the first child presenter for Children in Need, and delighted fans by starring in Doctor Who. He was born with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita (SEDC), leading to numerous medical procedures since infancy, including surgeries for his legs and spine, and treatment for a cleft palate - yet none have slowed his stride in his burgeoning career. His parents have also said that they are keen for him to maintain a "normal" life outside of work, with his mother Lisa telling The Guardian, "It's a fine balance, because Lenny would do this full-time if he could – he absolutely loves it and he's living the dream at the moment – but he is young, and he needs to have that time where he keeps his feet on the ground."
