At 33, Chet feels ready to hold court next week at the CMA Fest in Nashville and quite awkwardly enter the country music domain. The very son of Hollywood royalty had put up a clip of himself being a fingerstyle guitarist, letting loose some melodramatic southern twang while the caption read: “Who’s ready for SOMETHING OUT WEST Live @ CMA FEST!?! June 6th @bellbottomsupbar 11:30am.” The video was backed with a stereotypic sad country tune about a bipolar heart with Chet knee-deep in character, clad in denim and boots.
