Chester Bennington’s Mom Says ‘I Feel Betrayed’ by Linkin Park: ‘They’re Trying Very Hard to Erase the Past’
Chester Bennington's mother Susan Eubanks has spoken out against Linkin Park for bringing on Emily Armstrong as a new member.
After Chester Bennington’s son criticized Linkin Park for bringing in Emily Armstrong as the new vocalist, the late singer’s mother has spoken out against the band, claiming that she feels “betrayed” and that they’re “trying very hard to erase the past.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bennington’s mother Susan Eubanks explained that the band had promised to notify her if there were any plans to continue as a group. Bennington’s son criticized the decision to bring in the Dead Sara frontwoman, stating that Shinoda had “quietly erased my father’s life and legacy in real time… during international suicide prevention month.” Mars Volta singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and his wife Chrissie Carnell-Bixler brought up Armstrong’s support of Danny Masterson during his rape trial.
