Chelsea Handler admits she accidentally gave her dog Adderall instead of melatonin on board a plane
The comedian, 49, made the outrageous confession during an appearance on Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast.
Recounting the story, Handler shared that she was flying back from Spain with her late dog Chunk when she tried to give the German shepherd-Chow mix some melatonin to calm him down. Xanax, which Handler described as having a 'sedative effect,' left her drowsy enough to accidentally give Chunk Adderall instead of the popular sleep aid melatonin. 'Then I woke up, and the flight attendant was shaking me by the shoulders, and she's like, "Miss Handler, [your] dog is running around the first-class cabin foaming at the mouth.
