Cheavon Clarke Walks Out To Arsenal Anthem At Spurs Stadium And Chaos Follows
Clarke made his way to the ring in song and spirit, as the rival fans boiled over with a rather cheeky choice for Clarke's entry music. Not...
Not long after entering Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last night, the song ‘North London Forever’ brought Clarke to a different type of ring: the digital arena, with the two rival fan bases clashing amongst themselves as to the propriety of the choice. After an Arsenal supporter posted: “Fuming at your boy getting owned by a Tottenham fan?” Spurs supporter Sarim (@SarimTHFC) countered: Meanwhile, geo7198 clapped back with, “It matters boy; you can deny it, but your fucking furious inside, and we love it.” Calls, countercalls, and all sorts of antics large enough that our fathers grew up with them-this one in particular is off-the-scale cred: another point scored for the football tribalism runs deep, even in unrelated sporting events. James Cooper (JamesACouto) remarked the song was “skin-achingly fake,” while another, with the supremely blunt handle Superman110, went in for the kill: “Man got plastered by a Spurs fan… bottle job.” The jibes were endless with no mercy applied.
