Chauncy Glover Dies: KCBS/KCAL News Anchor Was 39
Chauncy Glover, news anchor at KCBS and KCAL in Los Angeles, has died unexpectedly at the age of 39.
According to his KTRK biography, Glover “was bitten by the news bug at the age of 5 when his dad built him his very own mini ‘anchor desk’ for his newscasts that he would perform for his family every Sunday after church.” He went on to study broadcast journalism, music and theatre at Alabama’s Troy University. A native of Athens, Alabama, Glover began his television news career at WTVM in Columbus, GA, joining CBS 47 and Fox 30 in Jacksonville, Fl as a Special Projects and General Assignment reporter two years later. A sought-after motivational speaker, Glover was also recognized by President Barack Obama and My Brothers Keeper, for his mentoring work.
