Charlie Puth Thanks Taylor Swift In New Message After She Name-Checks Him on 'TTPD'

The 32-year-old singer took to social media to thank her for inspiring him after she mentioned him in the title track of her latest album The Tortured Poets Department. While talking about his upcoming song “Hero,” Charlie described what the track from his next album is about and thanked Taylor for letting him know it’s okay to release it, as it musically different than what he normally puts out. “I’ve never put out a song like this before- it’s very different for me, but I want to thank @taylorswift for letting me know musically that I just couldn’t keep this on my hard drive any longer,” he continued.
