Earlier this year, Puth spoke with Rolling Stone about his single “Hero” and his surprise when Taylor Swift shouted him out on her album Tortured Poets Department. The singer also spoke about his approach to his forthcoming album, noting that he is “producing it in a way where I just hit record, do a couple of takes with the band, and then I don’t write any lyrics down.”
