Charlie Puth Finally Responds to Taylor Swift’s ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Mention With New Song ‘Hero’: ‘Thank You for Your Support… You Know Who You Are’

Charlie Puth reacts to Taylor Swift mentioning him on her new album, 'The Tortured Poets Department' with a new single titled 'Hero.'

In her latest set’s eponymously titled second track, Swift manages to name drop a few writers including Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and two, vastly different American singer-songwriters: Patti Smith and Puth. “You smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate / We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist,” Swift sings on “The Tortured Poets Department.” “These last couple weeks have been really crazy for obvious reasons, but I wanted to share something with you,” Puth wrote in text over a video of him debuting his new single.
