Charli XCX Gets Intro From Julia Fox, Performs ‘360’ and ‘Sympathy Is a Knife’ on ‘SNL’: Watch

The 32-year-old British pop star pulled double duty as both host and musical guest on the iconic NBC sketch comedy show. Charli’s first performance opened with a surprise introduction from Uncut Gems star Julia Fox, who set the stage for the artist’s minimalist performance of “360.” Dressed in dark sunglasses, a black Lou Reed T-shirt, a white skirt, knee-high boots and a matching black purse, Charli sashayed amid a lime green backdrop reminiscent of her Brat album cover. For her second performance, Charli was introduced by SNL cast member Bowen Yang (who wore a Vroom Vroom shirt), before launching into a high-energy rendition of “Sympathy Is a Knife.” Dressed all in black, Charli sang solo and danced in front of a giant white screen emblazoned with the word “Party” and “Girl” scrawled across the floor in bold lettering.
