Charli’s fans, who have spent the past few weeks proving that they’re the funniest meme machine in pop, rose to the occasion faster than you can say “bumpin’ that.” Less than six hours after President Biden’s Sunday afternoon announcement that he was dropping out of the race, a group of buff dudes in Brat-green cut-off tees with the word “kamala” were spotted on New York’s Fire Island. Just picture her delivering the opening verse from “Von Dutch” at a podium while Trump seethes with impotent rage: “It’s OK to just admit that you’re jealous of me/Yeah I heard you talk about me, that’s the word on the street!/You’re obsessin’, just confess it, put your hands up!”
