The King has cancelled engagements having been admitted to hospital temporarily after suffering side effects during his cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace said tonight

The King has had to withdraw from his scheduled engagements after a brief hospital admission due to side effects from his cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace confirmed this evening. The King is currently at home in Clarence House this evening, where he "is in good form", and continues to work on State papers and make calls from his study, reports the Mirror. A Buckingham Palace statement announced: "Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital.
