Charlamagne Tha God gives his verdict on Diddy abuse scandal while slamming 'the patriarchy' - years after facing his own sexual assault allegations
The 45-year-old host - who faced accusations of sexual assault back in 2001 - mocked Diddy's apology video earlier this week and accused the rapper, 54, of simply being 'sorry he got caught'.
When host Sunny Hostin asked Charlamagne - whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey - about Diddy during Wednesday's show, he replied: 'I think when it comes to this situation, I think we shouldn't focus on the individual but the issue. The documents filed by the alleged victim, Jessica Reid, claimed that Charlamagne 'willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously engage in penile/vaginal intercourse with a fifteen-year-old female child.' It was reported that officials had always maintained that Charlamagne cooperated with the investigation and took a DNA test, which did not produce any evidence that he had sexual contact with the girl.
