Charades Picks Up Shudder’s Sundance-Bound Slasher ‘In a Violent Nature’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Chris Nash's slasher film "In a Violent Nature" has been picked up by Charades ahead of its Sundance premiere.

“‘In a Violent Nature’ reminded us of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ and ‘Angst,’ but most of all, it’s the discovery of an incredibly talented director,” said Charades co-founders Pierre Mazars, Yohann Comte and Carole Baraton. We’re thrilled to partner once again on ‘In a Violent Nature’ — a slasher unlike any audiences have seen, following our effective partnerships on incredible films like ‘When Evil Lurks,’ ‘Revenge’ and ‘Infested. Recent pickups by the company includes 2023 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner “Scrapper” by Charlotte Regan; Carlota Perada’s buzzy debut feature “Piggy”; two acclaimed documentaries in “The Painter and the Thief” by Benjamin Ree and “Spaceship Earth” by Matt Wolf; and “The Killing of Two Lovers” by Robert Machoian.
