Chappell got candid about a burgeoning romance exactly six month ago in an interview with Rolling Stone, revealing she was seeing a girl she 'really likes' who is 'completely outside the industry', but couldn't commit because she's 'so avoidant'. However, she has alluded to past relationships and crushes as she's opened up about coming to terms with her sexuality, from first realising she was queer to dealing with difficult break-ups and learning to navigate dating in the public eye. She previously revealed that she was in relationship with an unknown male during the writing process of her hits Red Wine Supernova and Naked in Manhattan, dating for four and a half years.
