Chappell Roan made her Grammy stage debut Sunday night when she brought the “Pink Pony Club” to the Crypto.com Arena. The singer was ushered in by a rodeo of dancers, wearing clown makeup as the stage transformed into a desert in a callback to her Saturday Night Live performance of the country-fied track “ The Giver.” Pink, blue, and white flags waved in background in a nod to trans rights. Her real success, however, kicked off in early 2024 thanks to several viral performances for late-night shows, Coachella, and NPR’s Tiny Desk.
