Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst Movie ‘Roofman’ Sets Fall 2025 Release Date
"Roofman," a drama starring Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, will open in theaters in fall of 2025.
Based on a true story, the film follows Tatum as a former Army Ranger and struggling father who turns to robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, earning him the nickname “Roofman.” After escaping from prison, he starts a new life while hiding in a toy store, falling in love with a single mother (Dunst) and her two daughters. Cianfrance is best known for “Blue Valentine,” “The Place Beyond the Pines” and “The Light Between Oceans.” He recently directed the HBO miniseries “I Know This Much Is True,” starring Mark Ruffalo as identical twin brothers. Tatum has been busy, too, appearing in “Deadpool & Wolverine” as Gambit, as well as space-set romantic comedy “Fly Me to the Moon” with Scarlett Johansson and psychological thriller “Blink Twice,” directed by Zoe Kravitz.
