Chance the Rapper's Wife Kirsten Corley Files for Divorce 8 Months After Couple Announced Separation
Chance the Rapper's wife Kirsten Corley filed for divorce after five years of marriage, according to online court records. The pair, who started dating in 2012, share daughters Kensli, 9, and Marli, 5.
In the estranged couple’s April statement, they wrote that they planned to co-parent their young children: “God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together.” In September 2015, the couple welcomed the first of their two children, daughter Kensli, but briefly split in 2016 when Corley filed a petition asking the Cook County Circuit Court to declare Chance the father and mandate he pay child support, according to the Chicago Tribune. Corley withdrew the filing in January 2017 after she and Chance reconciled, and the rapper thanked his wife and daughter as he accepted a Grammy award the next month.
