Celine Dion accused of miming at Olympics as fans say performance was 'pre-recorded'

Celine Dion's emotional Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony performance has been dubbed a 'miming scandal' as fans claim the Canadian singer lip-synced to her song

However, France's reputable Liberation newspaper ignited speculation on Friday when it reported that several music industry insiders had confirmed that her July 26 performance was certainly not live. Celine moved fans to tears with her touching tribute to Edith Piaf, penning the words "God brings together those who love each other," from the song's famous lyrics. It was a poignant nod to Piaf's timeless romantic saga with Marcel Cerdan, a tale cut tragically short by his fatal plane crash in October 1949.
