James announced the news just a few hours before the red carpet, posting to X, formerly known as Twitter, "Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on! "Congratulations to Anna Wintour, the brilliant designers, the dedicated Met Gala team, and stunning attendees of tonight's extraordinary celebration," Naomi wrote. The subculture was prominent during the Harlem Renaissance and was exemplified by figures like Langston Hughes and James Baldwin.Accompanying the theme is an all-star cohort of co-chairs: Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams.And while many of Hollywood and music's biggest stars are expected on the red carpet on Monday night, several celebrities have announced they will not be attending.
