CBS News And Stations Unveils Assignments For Community Journalism “News Hubs”
The network is trying to enhance coverage in southern cities and the middle of the country
Adrianne Roark, president of editorial and newsgathering, wrote in a memo to staff that the journalists “will be based in cities across the South and the middle of the country with growing populations.” She also wrote that they “represent a wave of journalists who shoot, edit, report, and present their stories in creative ways across platforms.” Some are new hires and others are moving from other cities. Jason Allen, previously a reporter with CBS News Texas, will be a correspondent based in Dallas/Fort Worth.
