CBS Decides Fate of ‘Beyond the Gates’ After Network Rolls Out Multiple Show Cancellations and Renewals

CBS decided the fate of Beyond the Gates after season 1, announcing if the show was renewed for season 2 or canceled at the network.

Soap opera Beyond the Gates was added to the daytime CBS lineup earlier this year, and the network finally made a decision regarding whether or not the series will snag a season 2. “The talented cast and writers deliver compelling performances and stories on a daily basis and have provided iconic moments that have kept the show on top of the ratings and thrilled generations of fans for over five decades. According to the press release, the show “is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States; a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home.”
