CBeebies show was taken off air after disgruntled parents branded it 'too scary' for kids
Popular Cbeebies show Monster Cafe was axed thanks to outraged parents complaining that it was 'too scary' for kids.
The monster trio consisted of robot Frankie (played by Isobel Middleton), millenniums-old Igor (David Shimwell) and mummified Mummy (Toby Sedgwick). Actress Isobel, known for also making an appearance in the iconic saga of Harry Potter, spoke about the controversy with Jack's Throwback Attack back in 2018. 'I can see why people feel that Monster Cafe is unsuitable for CBeebies; quite apart from the fact that it's (a) ancient and (b) crap, it was always going to be frightening for a lot of young children,' added another.
