Catherine O'Hara's Emmys Envelope Joke Stole The Show, And You've Got To See It
The Emmy winner surprised attendees with a bit as she presented the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
O’Hara ― an Emmy winner herself for her role in Schitt’s Creek ― walked onstage with an envelope meant to contain the winning show’s name. But then she questioned why the Television Academy “must” choose just one winner, and ripped up the cue card inside. She then revealed that Hacks, which was up for 16 nominations at the ceremony, ultimately took home the top comedy award.
