Casey Kasem’s Daughter Says He Was a ‘Hands-On’ Dad as She Recalls Her Favorite Memories With Him
Casey Kasem’s daughter Kerri Kasem opened up exclusively to Closer about her ‘amazing’ late father and recalled some of her favorite memories with him.
His long career included work in radio, acting and voice-overs, but he’s best remembered as the host of the national pop music countdown American Top 40 from 1970 to 1988. “He taught us the importance of having manners, getting a good education, being kind and dressing well,” she says, adding that Casey took the time to explain why these things mattered. It allows adult children to ask a judge for visitation rights to an ailing parent or loved one,” says Kerri, who hopes to one day see it become a national law.
