Carry On star Julian Holloway dies following 'brief illness', aged 80

The Watlington native rose to fame in the iconic UK comedy franchise, appearing in Carry On Doctor, Carry On Up The Khyber and Carry On At Your Convenience.

Outside of his work in the Carry On films, Holloway appeared in a number of TV shows, including Doctor Who, Uncle Silas and classic sitcom Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? Other big screen outings for Holloway, saw him act with Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary and Jim Carrey in the 2009 Disney animated version of A Christmas Carol.
