Carrie Underwood tears up for surprising reason while holding a child during an American Idol audition

Carrie Underwood shed some tears when American Idol wanna-be's Breanna Nix sang the Grammy winner's song Jesus, Take The Wheel as the woman's son got sleepy on her lap.

In fact, Nix's audition turned out to be a family affair, considering her husband played the piano as she belted out Underwood's iconic Jesus, Take The Wheel in front of the judges that includes Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. After a brief piano intro by her husband, Nix went on to show off her big and beautiful vocals while singing the emotional ballad that appeared on Underwood's debut studio album Some Hearts (2005). Nix then chimed in and explained how her boy has been mesmerized by the song, which was written by Brett James, Hillary Lindsey and Gordie Sampson, and that he often would become drowsy.
