Note the very first comment, Elizabeth, who said, ‘Let’s see who was more star struck Carrie or Brandon.’ That’s a valid question here because Underwood’s a legend, but Lake’s got this worship music energy that just hits different. Underwood definitely left a lasting impression after performing ‘How Great Thou Art.’ Raquel tweeted, “Girl, you made me cry with that rendition of #HowGreatThouArt 😭😭 #AmericanIdol,” while Joe Cody called it “anointed.” According to Roachie, “It was the best show in history.” Wow, amazing praise there.
