Carrie Underwood is reportedly close to signing on to become a judge on American Idol, a show that gave the country singer her start nine years ago. The pop superstar held hands with fellow judges Luke Bryan, 47, and Lionel Richie, 74, while being introduced by host Ryan Seacrest, 49. The singer, real name Katheryn Hudson, joined American Idol for its reboot in 2018 as the singing competition moved from its original home on Fox to ABC.
