Carrie Coon Says Not Having Botox Is the Reason She “Plays Older” Than Her Age
The 44-year-old actress says she likes to focus on "science-based skin care," rather than injections.
The 44-year-old actress recently told Glamour magazine during an interview that she’s typically typecast to play more mature and “complex” characters because of her decision not to get Botox, such as with Bertha Russell in The Gilded Age andLaurie in The White Lotus season three. While Coon is among those who have opted out of facial injections and still found success in the entertainment industry, she also hopes younger Hollywood talent sees that they don’t need to conform to the pressure of Botox and filler to fit a beauty standard.
