Carol Burnett to Be Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award at Gracie Awards
The 49th annual Gracie Awards, presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, is set to take place at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills on May 21.
Her groundbreaking work on The Carol Burnett Show set a standard for excellence in comedy and storytelling, earning her countless awards and accolades,” said AWMF president Becky Brooks. “We are truly privileged to recognize her outstanding contributions to the industry and celebrate her remarkable career at the Gracie Awards gala, where the talented Rachel Platten will also be inspiring us with a special performance with her unforgettable female anthems.” The Gracie Awards — the largest fundraiser of the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation which advances women in media through educational programs and scholarships — announced the full list of winners at the end of March, a roster than includes Michelle Obama, Gayle King, Selena Gomez, Sydney Sweeney, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nicole Kidman, Angela Yee, Glennon Doyle, Amy Sherman-Palladino, Bel Powleyand The Kelly Clarkson Show.
