Carlos Santana canceled his Texas show after being hospitalized for dehydration while preparing for the event at Majestic Theatre
News of Santana’s medical emergency was first reported on by TMZ, who detailed on Tuesday that he was “put into an ambulance” before leaving the venue and checking into hospital “for further testing.” According to the outlet, members of the audience at San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre reported that Santana was conducting a sound check when “he suffered an emergency and had to be taken out of the venue on a gurney.” The guitar player rose to fame in the last 1960s with his band, Santana, who are globally renowned for fusing rock, jazz and Latin music.
