Carey Mulligan Says She Filmed The Ballad of Wallis Island with Her Newborn Daughter on Set: 'It Was Kind of Lovely' (Exclusive)


Carey Mulligan told PEOPLE that she brought her newborn baby to 'The Ballad of Wallis Island' set after giving birth.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday, Jan. 25, the actress, 39, who shares three children with her musician husband Marcus Mumford, spoke about how she balances parenting with work. Mulligan, who plays the role of Nell Mortimer in the upcoming film The Ballad of Wallis Island, revealed she brought her third baby to set after giving birth. The mother of three then revealed the sex of her baby the following month at the 2023 Variety Power of Women Los Angeles gala.
