The track samples Belinda Carlisle’s iconic anthem “Heaven Is a Place on Earth,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in December 1987. Cardi trades her typically raunchy rhymes for a more family-friendly canvas — although, it’s possible she could’ve been taking a shot at her ex Offset with her hard-hitting verse. Khaled relayed in a statement that he was “excited” to be part of this collaboration, and called his Smurfs involvement a full-circle moment, as he’s someone who grew up watching the show.
