Canneseries Awards: Germany’s ‘The Zweiflers’ Takes Top Prize

Canneseries Awards: The Zweiflers wins top prize; Michael Douglas attends and 'Fallout' airs out of competition.

The Special Interpretation Award went to the cast of Operation Sabre, which revisits the events following the 2003 assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić. The 2024 Canneseries jury for television series comprised Danish The Killing star Sofie Gråbøl, composer Amine Bouhafa, French actor Alix Poisson, producer Olivier Abbou, Spanish actor Macarena García and Brazilian actor-producer Alice Braga. The television festival also saw the world premieres of Disney+’s Becoming Karl Lagerfeld featuring Daniel Brühl and Michael Douglas-starrer Franklin, which closed the event.
