Straw hats and cat-eye sunnies, worn by Anya Taylor-Joy and Meryl Streep, abound at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, which kicks off this week.
Anya Taylor-Joy, in town to promote “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” made headlines this week when she touched down in Nice on Monday morning in a gargantuan straw hat, paired with a burnt-orange, high-slit dress. Following in the “Dune” star’s footsteps, Meryl Streep arrived to the festival on Tuesday morning in her own, slightly smaller straw hat. Finally, Greta Gerwig made the cat-eye a certifiable trend when she arrived to a pre-festival dinner on Monday night in her own pair of upwardly-curved shades.
