Candace Cameron Bure announces death of her father-in-law Vladimir Bure at age 73
Candace Cameron Bure shared a heart-wrenching tribute to her father-in-law, Vladimir Bure, following his death this week at the age of 73.
The actress announced the sad news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 4, where she confessed: 'Our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of Val’s dad Vladimir Bure.' The native of Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russian SFSR, USSR was a freestyle swimmer who competed for the Soviet Union at the 1968, 1972, and 1976 Olympics and won four medals: one in the individual 100 m and three in the relay. Vladimir Bure, a Russian native who moved to North America in 1991, was an Olympic swimmer and 2x NHL Stanley Cup champion as a fitness coach with the New Jersey Devils
