Movie fans were left stunned earlier this week after Cillian Murphy's gruesome zombie transformation was revealed for his new film 28 Years Later.

While the Irish actor stormed this year's awards season after his lead role in Oppenheimer, the star was seen looking rather different as his character Danny Boyle made a jaw-dropping comeback in zombie form. Starring Pedro Pascal as Joel, the hardened smuggler is tasked with safely transporting 14-year-old Ellie ( Bella Ramsey) across a dangerous country, 20 years into a zombie apocalypse caused by a fungal outbreak. Back in 2020 Simon and his co-star Nick Frost, who played Ed in the horror comedy, reprised their Shaun of the Dead roles in a bid to urge people to stay at home amid the COVID pandemic.
